The Complete Guide To The New Cobra King Speedzone Line

Reduce miss-hits with a Face with no limits! The new Cobra King Speedzone line is out, but what’s so new about it?

Although this new driver may look similar to its predecessor it comes with some great new features that will help you take your golf game even further!

Let’s start off with the driver.

The Cobra King Speedback Driver comes in two styles the Cobra King Speedzone Driver and the Cobra King Speedsone XTREME Driver.

Both of these drivers come equipped with:

CNC milled infinity faces

Just like an engine creates horsepower, the driver’s face creates ball speed. Golf’s first CNC Milled Infinity Face increases the milled area by 95% and expands the zone of maximum ball speed.

Titanium T-Bar Speed Chasis

A new T-Bar Speed Chassis reduces the amount of Titanium used in order to create a stronger frame that can withstand high-speed collisions while improving feel and stability.

360 Carbon Wrap Crown

A 360 carbon wrap crown covers 50% of the club body, adding stiffness to the chassis while saving 25 grams of discretionary weight that we used to increase forgiveness.

Speedback Weighting

69 grams of mass is positioned as low as possible to create the most efficient transfer of energy to the ball for high launch with low spin.

Speedback Aero Shape

A streamlined shape with milled perimeter leading edges harnesses airflow with ultimate precision to deliver maximum acceleration power.

High MOI design

Similar to a wide-body car design, weight is strategically positioned around the perimeter to improve stability so mishits fly longer and straighter.

Both of these driver styles pack a big punch with features, and when it comes to choosing between the regular and the XTREME model the real question is what is your skill level?

The stock model Cobra King Speedzone comes with adjustable weights on the front and back of the club that can be interchanged to put the weight close to the face or heel.

However, as a whole, this driver is built for the more skilled player that likes to have more workability in their game.

The XTREME model has a larger 17g tungsten weight on the back of the sole, pushing a ton of weight low and back, increasing that MOI and yielding more forgiveness.

This option is better for the less advanced player that wants to hit it long and straight right off that bat!

Next up in this new line is the complimentary fairway woods that come in three models.

  • Cobra King Speedzone Fairway Woods
  • Cobra King Speedzone Tour Fairway Woods
  • Cobra KING SpeedZone Big Tour Fairway Woods

These models are each designed for a specific type of player and golfing style, but first, let’s dive into all the cool new tech that each of the woods includes.

HOLLOW SPLIT RAILS
HIGH-SPEED RAILS

Hollow rails flex more than solid rails, creating a 70% larger hot spot area from heel to toe for higher launch and more ball speed.

CNC MILLED FACE
PRECISION MILLED FOR SPEED

CNC milling is up to 5 times more precise than hand polishing and is used to ensure that every face is right up to the legal limit.

BAFFLER RAILS
BETTER TURF INTERACTION

Baffler Rails improve turf interaction by allowing the club to glide effortlessly through tight lies, thick rough, and even bunkers.

CARBON FIBER CROWN
A LIGHTWEIGHT CROWN DESIGN

Carbon fiber creates 10 grams of discretionary weight to move the center of gravity lower and deeper.

Now, let’s dive into each model:

Cobra King Speedzone Fairway Woods

High Launch and Forgiveness
The Speedzone fairway features a traditional shape with back weighting and a slightly shallower face for easy launch and high, towering trajectories.

Cobra King Speedzone Tour Fairway Woods

Low Spin/Workability
The Speedzone Tour fairway features a compact shape with forwarding weighting to deliver low, workable trajectories with a low spin that better players desire.

Cobra KING SpeedZone Big Tour Fairway Woods

Low Spin/High Launch
The Speedzone Big Tour fairway features a larger shape, a stronger loft, forward weighting, and near-zero CG to create the best combination of high launch and low spin to deliver extreme distance.

Next up we have the Cobra Speedzone hybrids.

There is only one model of the hybrids, however, there is one very cool option that is available for both the hybrids and irons.

If you are a fan of Brysen Dechambeau then you have probably heard of the one length club option.

The one-length counterpart of the Speedzone hybrid and irons are designed to 7-iron length (37.50″) to promote one repeatable setup and swing between clubs for more consistency and accuracy.

This option is available for both the Cobra King Speedzone Hybrids and Irons and even cooler, they come in a different blue color rather than the yellow that you have seen on the other clubs so far.

Let’s dive into some of the features that come with the hybrids.

Cobra King Speedzone Hybrid

The Speedzone hybrid is equipped with new Hollow Baffler Split Rails, a forged stainless steel face, and a slightly oversize shape to deliver more ball speed, higher launch, and more forgiveness.

HOLLOW SPLIT RAILS
HIGH-SPEED RAILS

Hollow rails flex more than solid rails, creating a 70% larger hot spot area from heel to toe for higher launch and more ball speed.

FORGED 455 SS FACE INSERT
FORGED FOR SPEED

A forged high-strength stainless steel face promotes more ball speed and higher launch across the face.

BAFFLER RAILS
BETTER TURF INTERACTION

Baffler Rails improve turf interaction by allowing the club to glide effortlessly through tight lies, thick rough, and even bunkers.

LOW, BACK WEIGHTING
LOW CG WEIGHTING

A fixed weight positioned low and back promotes a higher ball flight with more stopping power into the green.

Cobra Golf KING SpeedZone Irons

Lastly, we have the irons

These irons come in the same options as the hybrids with both variable and one length availability. additionally, these irons are available in both graphite and steel shafts.

Let’s dive into the features:

The Speedzone irons feature a breakthrough in performance with Cobra’s first-ever Carbon Fiber Topline, delivering an ultra-low CG for maximum speed and launch.

CARBON FIBER TOPLINE
SPEED STARTS AT THE TOP

Carbon fiber has a higher strength to weight ratio than steel and saves 3 grams to lower the CG and maximize ball speed.

FORGED PWRSHELL FACE
POWERSHELL BRINGS THE DISTANCE

A forged PWRSHELL face insert features a 35% larger Sweet Zone area and an 8% deeper undercut to enhance ball speed and launch across the face.

SPEEDBACK SHAPE
MORE STABILITY ON OFF-CENTER HITS

Extreme heel and toe weighting creates a lower CG and a higher MOI than most traditional iron shapes allow.

CO-MOLD MEDALLION
EXCELLENT SOUND AND FEEL

A lightweight medallion features aluminum, TPU, and acrylic foam that work together to damp vibrations for excellent sound and feel.

In addition, you can also buy mixed sets of hybrids and irons all in one rather than having to order them separately. if you would like to get a set of your own you can here.
