The highest golf course in elevation is the Yak Golf Course.

It is located in the small town of Gasa in Bhutan, in the eastern Himalayas, and sits at 13,025 feet (3,970 meters) above sea level, making it the highest golf course.

The course was designed in 2015 by architect Dasho Yeshi Dorji. It features stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, and the thin air at this altitude adds an extra challenge to the game. Players are advised to take it slow and drink plenty of water to avoid altitude sickness.

The course is also unique in being surrounded by the majestic Himalayan mountain range, providing stunning views for golfers.

The Yak Golf Course is not a traditional course but rather a 6-hole layout that is played twice for a full round of 12 holes. Due to the high altitude and thin air, the ball travels further than it would at lower elevations, making the course challenging for even the most experienced golfers.

Additionally, the course is only accessible on foot, which adds to its allure and exclusivity. The journey to the system takes several days, and golfers must trek through rugged terrain, high mountain passes, and dense forests to reach the course. This makes the Yak Golf Course a unique destination for adventurous golfers who are up for a challenge and want to experience the natural beauty of Bhutan.

Due to its remote location, the Yak Golf Course is not easily accessible and can be challenging. However, for those who are up for the adventure, it offers a unique golfing experience in one of the most stunning locations in the world.
