Play for the Oceans with the New Adidas Parley Golf Shoe
Ocean-inspired design. The Adidas 360 XT Parley Golf Shoes are made from plastic that has been pulled from the ocean.
This limited edition shoe from Adidas is making its debut this week at the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach and it seems fitting that as you view the breathtaking scenery in the background of the tournament, you realize that the oceans need a helping hand. There is an estimated 18 billion pounds of plastic waste that enters the world’s oceans every year. This pollution endangers marine life and pollutes our beaches. It is a tough problem to solve, but Adidas is trying to enhance awareness and do its part by upcycling waste from beaches and coastal communities that has been intercepted before it reaches the ocean with the creation of the Tour 360 XT Parley golf shoe.
The upcycled plastic waste was turned into the blue thread that is featured on these shoes and used to make the upper.
